“WOW! This place is just amazing. I totally recommend straying here if you are doing a Brittany trip. Holly and her husband are adorable hosts, communication was easy and we got all the info we needed. The place is just breathtaking, a truly Brittany “gite” that has been renovated with style. Everything is super clean and they have taken the time to explain how everything works – we even got a super greeting from Génépi 😉 If we return to the area we will definitely try to book again at Mimosa Cottage. Thanks Holly!”

“Very nice welcome from Holly and her husband, cider and cakes awaited us. The setting is splendid and relaxing and the Lodge functioned well and great. Everything was perfect although the stay was too short. Ideal for recharging, the garden is beautiful. Our hosts were smiling and available, everything was perfect we will be back for sure. Thank you Holly for the delicious walnuts this was a very nice meeting.” (Translated from French)

“The house (Lodge) is fabulous, very well equipped. Very clean, and the perfect place to spend a few quiet and relaxing days. Have been very friendly and the whole group – the five of us – we have felt very good for its space and comfort.” (Translated from Spanish)

“What a wonderful experience this holiday was! Super friendly and welcoming, a very nice area, plenty of space both indoors and outdoors, and the dog could also walk well. Enough fun things around to watch / do with the kids. And also the playroom was highly appreciated by our girls. A really old English cottage feeling, with lots of freedom. We had a wonderful time!”

“Very cute house and very nice for an extended weekend! Holly and her husband were adorable and available! Quite convenient to get to the ‘Vieilles Charrues’ music festival We regret not having more free time to enjoy the ping pong, the pool and other activities”. (Translated from French)

“We stayed at Mimosa cottage for a fortnight at the beginning of august. The hamlet is delightful – secluded and very quiet set in the middle of countryside in south, central Brittany. The cottage is well appointed and has charm and character that epitomises rustic France. The kids enjoyed the table-tennis and darts, the space for water fights and badminton, and of course the pool. Shops were not too far away in the car and, while it took a while to drive anywhere there were plenty of options in every direction, especially the beaches. Highly recommended, particularly as Holly and Cha were on hand for advice (places to visit, restaurants and translation!) and to help with any issues – though the only ones that arose were us breaking things!!!”

“We were recommended Mimosa Cottage by our friends and we’re so glad that we took their advice and stayed there. The cottage is in a beautiful location and ideal for a really relaxing break. The cottage itself is decorated to a high standard and is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and cooker. Everything inside was spotlessly clean and had everything that you could possibly need for cooking. There is a log fire – although we didn’t need to use this as the sun was shining the whole time we were there! There are three bedrooms with lovely comfortable beds and a cot/stairgate for babies. The bathroom has a shower – again everything is spotless. There is also a downstairs toilet. The grounds of the cottage are beautiful and well kept. Holly and Cha the owners are lovely and made us extremely welcome. There are also two friendly dogs Cezar and Bobbie) who belong to their neighbours and who will keep you entertained for hours – they also accompany you on walks! Holly and Cha have converted a barn which has enough space to hold functions/parties and would be ideal for family get togethers, parties or classes. There is also a pool in the field opposite the cottage. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Mimosa Cottage and would certainly recommend here to everyone. We look forward to returning next year as we had such a lovely relaxing holiday.”

“Holly and Cha were the perfect hosts, leaving welcome goodies on our arrival, which were much appreciated by all. They had excellent local knowledge and were keen to help at all times. Facilities were good and the indoor Games Room was much used during our few wet days. The walks from the gite were lovely and easy to follow, with outstanding views over the countryside. We ventured as far afield as Vannes in one direction and Quimper in the other – both of which are worth a visit. Many days we spent on the beach, having taken a picnic out with us, and Les Roches du Diable between Le Faouet and Quimperle provided breath-taking views and challenging walking. The market at Le Faouet was a lovely atmosphere and all the French hommes chatted easily to us in a bar, allowing us to soak up the atmosphere even more. Best eat out was as L’Argoat in Le Faouet – excellent food and lots of locals eating in there. In all, coming home was tinged with sadness as it was such a lovely holiday but seeing my new grandson was lovely. We do aim to return to Mimosa as it has left a lasting impression – not soley because of its’ beauty and charm but also thanks largely to its’ lovely hosts. Thank you once again Holly and Cha – we look forward to seeing you next time!”

“My partner and I spent two weeks at the beautiful Mimosa Cottage. It has been one of our best holidays ever. The cottage itself was very clean, well furnished, extremely well equipped and everything you could possibly need. Fantastic location for relaxing, taking time out, walking, cycling and sightseeing. The owners are very helpful and always on hand if required. Beautiful grounds and gardens. We would love to go back and will certainly recommend this property to our family and friends. It was so lovely to relax in the evening sitting around the log fire with a glass of french wine”.

“This place is home from home. Comfortable, everything you could wish for, beautiful surroundings and an idylic setting. The owners are on hand when you need anything and are helpful, informative and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they go our of their way to make your break amazing. You have plenty of privacy to enjoy the cottage or for time in the beautifully kept gardens for a restful and relaxing time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough”.

“Thoroughly equipped holiday home, welcoming & cosy, helpful hosts – we had a relaxing family holiday. The peace was only broken by our children!”

“Many thanks to our hosts – the opted meal on arrival was superior! If only we hadn’t got carried away in the local markets, another would have been definitely worth having.”

“A wonderful getaway from it all holiday, totally relaxing and well looked after by wonderful hosts. Thank you.”

The S Family

“Many thanks for providing a very well equipped home from home and for proving to be very hospitable hosts. Advice for future guests; spend a day each in Vannes & Carnac adding a trip to Concarneau too. Locally we also enjoyed Quimperle though sadly missed out on the market at Le Faouet (1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month).”

“Our hosts were very helpful, friendly and great. The Gite was so comfortable and decorated tastefully. The surroundings are truly stunning. The butchers in Langonnet had good English and great meat. Crépe night brill (with our hosts’ neighbours). All the locals we met v. friendly and welcoming. Visit the chapels – magical. Fab weather 20-30 degrees and no rain for 2 weeks. Elspeth loved Bobby.”

“Mimosa Lodge is a wonderful property. Whilst it has clearly been lovingly restored to retain its traditional Breton appearance and atmosphere, it is equipped with every convenience that made our stay very enjoyable. The beaches at Guidel Les Plages (Dir. Lorient) ensured that the kids enjoyed the beach. Lifeguards are on duty all day.Our hosts were a delight and on hand to answer any queries that we may have had about the locality. We recommend Mimosa Lodge wholeheartedly.”

The T Family

“We have much enjoyed our stay in this comfortably furnished house. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into ensuring that guests will want for nothing, and we are grateful for the effort they have made to ensure our satisfaction! Mimosa Lodge is in a beautiful and tranquil setting – a wonderful place to relax with the odd book or two if the sun is shining! – unfortunately we had very changeable weather which prompted us to seek out other attractions further afield. We can recommend visits to Concarneau, Quimper and Quimperle on the South coast and on the North Coast, for those who like walking, the ‘Sentier des Douaniers’ – along the Cote de Granite Rose – a wonderful cliff top walk between Ploumanac’h and Perros-Guirec is well worth the hour and a half drive to get there. We will recommend Mimosa Lodge to our friends.PS: Milo says the cot is very comfy!”

The P Family

“Another snatched couple of days. Thank you so much. We loved it all especially seeing the family again.”
